   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Profesor Dato’ Dr Roslan Abd Shukor adalah pensyarah di Jabatan Fizik Gunaan, Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Beliau mendapat ijazah PhD dari University of Arkansas, Amerika Syarikat pada tahun 1991. Bidang penyelidikan beliau ialah superkonduktor suhu tinggi. Beliau pernah memenangi beberapa anugerah termasuk Anugerah Khas Tokoh Maal Hijrah Negeri Sembilan, Anugerah Saintis Muda Negara dan Malaysia Toray Science and Technology Award. Beliau telah menulis beberapa buah buku popular seperti Rahsia Kejayaan Menulis Jurnal Berimpak Tinggi, Buku dan Tesis, Introduction to Superconductivity in Metals, Alloys and Cuprates, Managing Scholarly Journal: What Editors Should Know. Buku terbaru yang akan muncul ialah Einstein di Malaya. Beliau telah menerbit lebih daripada 180 artikel dalam jurnal diindeks WoS. Beliau adalah ahli sidang editor beberapa jurnal termasuklah Superconductor Science and Technology, International Journal of Superconductivity dan Ketua Editor Sains Malaysiana 2006-2013. Beliau adalah Felo, The Insitute of Physics, United Kingdom dan Akademi Sains Malaysia dan juga Felo Pelawat di Jabatan Fizik, Princeton University, Amerika Syarikat.
    ---------- Roslan Abd Shukor is a Professor in the Department of Applied Physics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He received his PhD from the University of Arkansas, USA in 1991. His field of research is high temperature superconductors. He has authored several popular books such as Secrets of Success in Writing High Impact Journals, Books and Theses, Introduction to Superconductivity in Metals, Alloys and Cuprates, Managing Scholarly Journal: What Editors Should Know and Einstein in Malaya. He is a member of the editorial board of several journals including Superconductor Science and Technology and Editor-in-Chief of Sains Malaysiana 2006-2013. He is a Fellow, The Insitute of Physics, United Kingdom and the Malaysian Academy of Sciences and also a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Physics, Princeton University.
