   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Farah Diba Abu Bakar berkelulusan PhD. (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), MSc. (National University of Singapore) dan BSc. (University of Guelph, Canada) dalam bidang Mikrobiologi. Farah Diba bertugas sebagai pensyarah (Profesor Madya) di Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) dan telah memegang jawatan Ketua Program Mikrobiologi sejak 2010 sehingga 2019. Di UKM, beliau berkecimpung dalam pelbagai pengajaran dan penyelidikan berteraskan bidang mikrobiologi, genomik, bioteknologi, biologi molekul dan enzimologi dengan fokus terhadap kajian ke atas protein serta enzim berkepentingan industri. Beliau kini merupakan Ketua Kluster Penyelidikan Teknologi Sel dan Bioproses, Jabatan Sains Biologi dan Bioteknologi, FST, UKM.
    Academic qualifications: PhD. (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), MSc. (National University of Singapore) dan BSc. (University of Guelph, Canada) in the field of Microbiology. Posts: Farah Diba is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and was the Head of Microbiology Programme from 2010-2019. She is currently the Head of the Research Cluster, Cell Technology and Bioprocess at the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, FST, UKM since 2020. Field of Research: Her research emphasises on Microbiology, Genomics & Metagenomics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Enzymology with special interest in studies on proteins and enzymes with industrial importance.
