Biografi/ Biography :
Mahanem Mat Noor is currently lecturer (Assoc. Prof.) and researcher at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is an internationally well-known researcher in the area of Reproductive Biology, specifically in male reproductive health. Recently one of her research finding has been patent filed (PI 2017000028).
She has been nominated as Distinguished Women in Science by Venus International Foundation, India (2017), in recognition of her excellent research work in the area of reproductive health and her initiatives and developments in the discipline of Biosciences. She received many international and national research grants such as MOSTI, TORAY, Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) Grant and University Research Grant. She has more than 50 publications (in Journals, Books, Book chapters and Conference proceedings) and presented her research finding in various conferences (International & National). She was also invited to deliver talks in International conferences and BioEconomy Exhibition.
She also won several gold medals and special awards such as KASS-ITEX best invention award (2018) during innovation and invention competition at national and international level such as PECIPTA (2017), Si2TE (2018), ITEX (2018), Her current focus is in translational resesearch as such to enhance and strengthen research in herbal medicine towards male reproductive health. Recently (28 May 2019) the herb based supplement namely Gynulin™ has undergo trademark registration process at Intelectual Property Malaysia (filing number: TM2019019019). This supplement has antihyperglicemic, profertility and prolibido effects in diabetic males. As a proof of concept the pre-clinical data was published in international high impact journal.
