   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Mohd Talib Latif is a professor of Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Pollution at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UKM. He completed his Ph.D. at the School of Environmental Science, University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. His main research work includes the composition of atmospheric aerosols particularly surfactants in the atmosphere. He also works on the composition of gases particularly surface ozone and volatile organic compounds (VOCs in the troposphere. At the national level, his research group has worked closely with government agencies such as the Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE). At the international level, Mohd Talib is actively involved with the research community within the Asian continent through International Global on Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC). In 2018 he has been appointed as one of the international scientific steering committees for Surface Ocean Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLAS) an organization that focuses on the study related to atmosphere and marine environment. In 2018 Mohd Talib has received Top Research Scientist Malaysian (TRSM) Award from Academy Science Malaysia.
