Maryati Mohd. Yusof is an Associate Professor and Head of Postgraduate Programme at the Software Technology and Management Centre, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She holds a BSc (Computer Science) from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, USA, MSc (Information Systems) from UKM, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Brunel University, West London. Her doctoral research is focused upon the evaluation of Health Information Systems (HIS) adoption in clinical practices.
Her research interests include information systems, health informatics, HIS/IS evaluation, Management Information Systems, Business Process Management, Lean IT, and Human and Organizational issues in IS. She is mainly involved in qualitative research and systematic review. Her best-known publications since 2000 include Investigating Evaluation Framework for HIS (IJMI: 2008), An evaluation framework for HIS: incorporating human, organizational and technology-fit factors (HOT-fit) (IJMI: 2008), and A case study evaluation of a Critical Care IS adoption using the socio-technical and fit approach (IJMI: 2015). In 2009 International Medical Informatics Association Yearbook, her paper “Investigating Evaluation Framework for Health Information Systems" (2008) was selected for re-publication in the book. Other published books, chapters, and articles, 1999 to the present, cover topics in IS, Health Informatics, BPM, and Lean.
Over her teaching career, she taught 11 different undergraduate and 8 different postgraduate courses, in IS, health informatics, and Research Method. She has been the primary or secondary supervisor of over 50 postgraduate students and has also supervised over 100 undergraduate final year projects.
