   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Ravie Chandren Muniyandi completed his Ph.D. in computer science in 2011. He is currently an Associate Prof. at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FTSM), National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is also the Head of the Doctoral Programme at FTSM since 2019. His research interests are in software security, network security, intelligent security (smart city, cloud, IoT), parallel and distributed computing, bio-inspired computing (membrane computing), and programming technology. He has a strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to research and teaching programs. He has a proven record of ability to conduct high-quality research which is reflected in the authorship of high-quality publications in more than 80 journals and conference proceedings, or other research outputs, in the areas of computer science. He has led five research projects that have been completed successfully. He has also shown the ability to teach and to supervise academic work by undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students. He has worked collaboratively with the researchers in UKM, Malaysia, ASEAN as well as internationally. He has delivered keynote talks in five international conferences. He has also been accorded Professional Technologist (Ts.) in Information Technology by MBOT since 2018. He has strong commitments to academic research, to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students, and to continuous professional development.
