Faizal Amri Hamzah graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 1997. He initially served at the Meath & Adelaide Hospital and Tallaght Hospital in Dublin and Naas General Hospital in Co. Kildare. He returned and joined UKM Hospital in 1999, worked in O&G, Paediatrics and Orthopaedics. He has since been at the Department of Emergency Medicine since the year 2000. He pursued his postgraduate qualification in EM [M.Med(EM)] at the University Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2004 and graduated with distinction in 2008 (FADUSM). His strength lies in possession of high clinical acumen and a great critical thinking. His major clinical interests are in emergency ECG and Point-Of-Care UltraSound (POCUS). He founded the "MyEZG Workshop" and has conducted series of nationwide ECG workshops in order to instill and enhance doctors ability to recognize critical ECG diagnoses more efficiently using his novel and easy interpretation method. He initiated and pioneered the Emergency Ultrasound and ED Cardiology modules for the postgraduate program. He is a certified AHA cardiovascular life support courses instructor as well as a Winfocus (SUCCES) ultrasound course instructor. He has conducted several research works on teaching and learning, radiographs and ECG interpretation accuracy and ECG learning methodology. He also has established several collaborative researches with the faculties of Science & Technology (FST) and Engineering (FKAB) particularly in Healthcare-Technology-Innovation (HTI) related areas. He is an avid scientific reader and has high passion in bedside teaching. He loves to play badminton and strategy computer games at leisure. He puts high values in truthfulness, accountability and friendship. He is a strong believer in, and practices collaborative leadership management style. He desist control-minded leaders who is simply irrelevant in this century.
