Biografi/ Biography :
Norazlina Mohamed ialah seorang Profesor dan pensyarah di Jabatan Farmakologi, Fakulti Perubatan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Beliau kini merupakan Penolong Dekan (Kualiti & Strategi), Fakulti Perubatan, UKM. Beliau berkelulusan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains Bioperubatan dengan Kepujian dari UKM dan meneruskan pengajian peringkat Sarjana dan PhD dalam bidang Farmakologi di universiti yang sama. Beliau merupakan Ketua Jabatan Farmakologi dari Januari 2011- Januari 2016. Beliau juga pernah menjadi Ketua Kumpulan Penyelidikan Metabolisme Tulang UKM. Minat penyelidikannya ialah di dalam bidang metabolisme tulang dan osteoporosis. Beliau menjalankan kajian peranan produk semula jadi ke atas pelbagai gangguan metabolik tulang dalam model tikus. Beliau juga mengkaji kesan produk semulajadi (seperti minyak zaitun & vitamin E sawit) pada penyembuhan luka dalam model tikus diabetes. Beliau juga menjalankan kajian tentang kesihatan tulang di kalangan warga emas di Lembah Klang. Beliau telah menerbitkan banyak artikel dalam jurnal terindeks. Beliau telah memenangi beberapa anugerah penyelidikan dan inovasi sama ada sebagai penyelidik utama atau penyelidik bersama dalam pameran tempatan dan antarabangsa. Beliau juga menjadi penyelidik utama untuk beberapa dana penyelidikan seperti geran IRPA, FRGS dan NRGS.
Norazlina Mohamed is a Professor and lecturer in Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is currently the Assistant Dean (Quality & Strategy), Faculty of Medicine, UKM. She graduated with Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences with Honours from UKM and continued to do Masters and PhD degree in Pharmacology in the same university. She was the Head of Department of Pharmacology from January 2011- January 2016. She was also the Head of Bone Metabolism Research Group UKM. Her research interest is bone metabolism and osteoporosis. She has been working on the role of natural products on various metabolic bone disorders in rat models. She has also embarked on wound healing study by looking at the effects of natural products (such as olive oil & palm vitamin E) on wound healing in diabetic rat model. She also conducted research on bone health among elderly people in Klang Valley. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has won several research and innovation awards either as principal investigator or co-investigator in local and international exhibitions. She has been the principal investigator for several funds such as IRPA grant, FRGS grant and NRGS grant.
