Fathin Faizah Said is an associate professor in the Center for Sustainable and Inclusive Development Studies (SID), Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She obtained both a bachelor`s and a master`s in economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2000 and 2002. In 2012, she received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. She also held a position as a visiting academic at the University of Essex, in the United Kingdom, between 2013 and 2014. She held several administration posts, such as Head of Master Program (2018-2021) and Head of Program (Fiscal and Monetary, International Trade and Industry (2017-2018)), in the Faculty of Economics and Management, UKM. She holds several posts, such as editor-in-chief of the Malaysian Journal of Economics, senior research fellow at the Fuel Cell Institute, UKM, and Thrust Area Leader of the Community Resilience and Empowerment, UKM-YSD Chair for Sustainability. Besides supervising several doctoral theses, she also acted as an external examiner for several dissertations. She has research and teaching experience in monetary economics, financial network modeling, modern macroeconomics, agent-based computational economics, energy economics, and environmental economics. She is currently leading several research projects. She has published in several high-impact and refereed academic journals, such as economic modelling, computational economics, renewable and sustainable energy reviews, sustainability, journal of cleaner production, economies, journal of economic studies, and many others.
