Kesihatan dan Perubatan Termaju,
Noraida Mohamed Shah kini merupakan Pensyarah Kanan di Fakulti Farmasi, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Beliau memperoleh ijazah PhD dari Queen’s University Belfast, UK pada tahun 2011. Beliau bergraduat dari USM dalam bidang MClinPharm (2004) dan ijazah MPharm (Kepujian) dari IMU-Strathclyde (2001).
Beliau telah menjadi pensyarah sejak tahun 2004 dan bidang kepakaran beliau adalah dalam Pediatrik dan Kanser. Bidang penyelidikan beliau dalam pediatrik merangkumi penggunaan ubat yang tidak dilesenkan dan di luar label pada kanak-kanak, kepatuhan terhadap ubat dalam kalangan kanak-kanak yang menghidap penyakit kronik, masalah berkaitan ubat dalam kalangan kanak-kanak yang dimasukkan ke hospital serta pengetahuan, sikap dan amalan mengenai penggunaan antibiotik dalam kalangan ibu bapa.
Minat penyelidikan beliau dalam bidang kanser pula termasuk pembuatan keputusan rawatan dalam kalangan pesakit kanser payudara, kepatuhan terhadap rawatan dan kesan sampingan yang dialami oleh pesakit kanser payudara yang menjalani rawatan endokrin adjuvan, serta pembangunan alat sokongan maklumat untuk pesakit kanser payudara yang menjalani rawatan kemoterapi. Hasil penyelidikan beliau dalam bidang ini telah diterbitkan dalam jurnal dan dibentangkan di persidangan peringkat kebangsaan dan antarabangsa.
Noraida Mohamed Shah is currently a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, National University of Malaysia (UKM). She obtained her PhD from Queen’s University Belfast, UK in the year 2011. She graduated from USM in MClinPharm (2004) and MPharm (Hons.) degree from IMU-Strathclyde (2001). She has been a lecturer since 2004 and her area of specialisations are in Paediatrics and Cancer. Her areas of research in paediatrics include unlicensed and off-labelled use of medicines in children, adherence to medicines in children with chronic diseases, drug related problems in hospitalised children as well as knowledge, attitude and practice on the use of antibiotics among parents. Her research interest in cancer include treatment decision-making among breast cancer patients, adherence to treatment and side effects experienced among breast cancer patients on adjuvant endocrine treatment as well as development of information support tool for breast cancer patients on chemotherapy. Her research in these areas were published in journals and presented in national /international conferences.
