Biografi/ Biography :
Dr ‘Azlin Muhammad is currently the Head of Department of Parasitology & Medical Entomology in Medical Faculty UKM. She received her bachelor degree in Medicine from National University of Ireland in Galway and later completed her Master’s in Public Health from University of Queensland specializing in Tropical Medicine. She is an avid teacher and has 17 years of experience in education and laboratory diagnostic services pertaining to her field
Her research interest includes zoonotic and emerging parasitic infections in Orang Asli and children in Malaysia. She has published more than 30 articles in internationally peer reviewed journals and 2 books relating to parasitic infections and tropical health. She is a member of the Faculty Assessment Committee and internal auditor for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in UKM. Currently she is a consultant for intestinal parasitic infections in Orang Asli schoolchildren under Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli Malaysia ( JAKOA).
