SYAMSA RIZAL ABDULLAH, PhD adalah Pensyarah Kanan di Jabatan Parasitologi & Entomologi Perubatan, Fakulti Perubatan UKM. Beliau telah berkhidmat selama 17 tahun di UKM sebagai tenaga akademik dengan bermula sebagai tutor pada tahun 2004. Bidang kepakaran beliau adalah dalam bidang entomologi forensik dan entomologi perubatan. Beliau telah menerbit lebih 25 penerbitan yang terdiri daripada artikel jurnal, bab dalam buku dan penerbitan popular. Beliau turut aktif menyertai pembentangan penyelidikan di peringkat kebangsaan dan antarabangsa dan berjaya beroleh anugerah dalam beberapa persidangan.
