   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Dr Shobha Sharma is a speech pathologist by training. She is currently a senior lecturer at the speech sciences program and research fellow at H-Care, Faculty of Health Sciences UKM. Her passion lies in rehabilitation clinics - specifically in swallowing disorders in adults and geriatric populations, voice disorders, as well as in telepractice. She received her first Master`s degree from the University of Malaya in voice disorders and her second Master`s degree in adult swallowing disorders from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. She then completed her PhD at The University of Queensland in telerehabilitation in swallowing disorders in 2012. She has several international academic publications and continues her work in research and clinical speech sciences at UKM, and has recently spearheaded the Telerehabilitation Unit of the Faculty of Health Science, UKM.
