   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Associate Prof. Dr. Abdul Latiff Ahmad currently holds the position Director of UKM Global- The International Relations Centre of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is also a senior lecturer in the Centre of Research in Media and Communication, The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations from The University of Kent, United Kingdom and his master’s degree from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, Malaysia. In 2013, he obtained his PhD in Communication Studies from University of Queensland, Australia. He is currently the Malaysian Regional Vice President for the World Communication Association and also a Committee member for the National Strategic Communication Committee under the Higher Education Department of Ministry of Education. Dr. Ahmad is also a Fulbright Alumni . Dr. Ahmad research interest include intercultural communication and internationalization. He has become principle researcher for various research relating to international student experience, cultural adaptation, identity and new media technology studies. He has become a speaker on matters of internationalization and intercultural communication in various events such as the International Workshop for International Office, SHARE student mobility and alumni workshop, APAIE, Universiti Administrators workshop and etc. He was also the Head of Modules on Effective Communication and Intercultural Communication Skills for the 29th SEA Games Volunteer Training Program in which he and his team trained over 10,000 volunteers. He has headed grants provided by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Ministry of Sports and Youth Malaysia, UKM and Central Bank Malaysia and has been co-supervisors for research involving Ministry of Women and Family Affairs, UEM, Pintar Foundation and CIMB Bank.
