Biografi/ Biography :
Professor Madya Dr Farrah-Hani Imran is highly-regarded nationally and globally as a surgeon-sportsperson championing ethics, principles and integrity. She is currently Associate Professor; Head of Plastic Surgery, Burns Unit & Wound Care Team; Consultant Plastic Surgeon & Senior Lecturer in UKM. She balances the large trinity of academic, research and clinical public hospital workloads. She currently voluntarily serves on the Chapter of Women Surgeons Committee, College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine Malaysia.
She is the Academic, Clinical Coordinator, Head of Module and Mentor for undergraduate Year 3 Medical and Dental Students. She is heavily involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
She has published several academic and research book publications as author and editor; and extensively published on wounds, burns and plastic surgery.
She is the first Malaysian to be awarded the Association of Graduates Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; Constable Fellowship Award, American Association of Plastic Surgeons; IWF-EY WABN Award, IWF Leadership Foundation; and Her World Youth Woman of the Year. She brought honour to Malaysia as a pioneer National Rhythmic Gymnast, blazing the trail for future generations by being the first Malaysian to reach World Championships. She tirelessly serves the nation through pro-bono volunteering as Vice President of the Malaysian Gymnastics Federation and Team Manager of the historic National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team at the 2017 SEA Games with a clean sweep of all gold and silver medals available.
