Dr. Norasikin Ahmad Ludin is a Professor and Director at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), with over 25 years of experience in renewable energy. She holds a PhD in Chemistry (Solar Photovoltaic Technology) from the University of Wales, UK, and specializes in solar PV systems, renewable energy policy, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), and End-of-Life (EoL) management of PV panels. She has authored over 150 high-impact publications and secured more than USD 5.4 million in competitive research funding. As a dedicated educator, she teaches postgraduate courses on Solar Cell Technologies, Organic Solar Cells, Energy Policy and Management, Circular Economy in Energy Transition, and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Management across MSc, M.Eng, MBA, and PhD programs. Dr. Norasikin has held international academic appointments, including Visiting Professor at Claremont McKenna College (USA) and Visiting Researcher at Tokyo University of Science (Japan). She contributes to regional energy policy development through ASEAN COSTI, MITI Malaysia, and ERIA. She is a Certified Energy Manager under the ASEAN Centre for Energy and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and the Malaysia Energy Professionals Association (MEPA). She also completed Executive Education in Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies at the University of Cambridge, UK. Her recognitions include Top Research Scientist Malaysia (2022), World Top 2% Scientist (2022–2024), and finalist for the 2023 Underwriters Laboratories ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women, which honors leading women scientists driving clean energy solutions in Southeast Asia.
