   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Iskandar Yahya is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He is also an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN), UKM. An M.Eng graduate of the University of Sheffield, Iskandar Yahya joined STMicroelectronics, Muar Johor as a Product Engineer in 2006. He then joined Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2007 as a tutor and eventually pursued his PhD at the University of Surrey in the field of Electronics Engineering in 2009-2013. His thesis was entitled "Advanced Nanoelectronic Devices Based on Carbon Nanotubes for Future Electronics". Since then, Iskandar Yahya has been a Senior Lecturer at the University and an Associate Fellow at IMEN. His research interests include micro and nanoelectronic devices, carbon-based devices and advanced semiconductor materials. His particular expertise is in the application of carbon nanotubes and graphene in electronic devices, other than the fabrication of sensors and thin films based on advanced materials and nanomaterials. He has also been teaching related microelectronics engineering courses, including MEMS devices, and energy harvesting technology. When not focused on his research work, Dr Iskandar spends time on his hobby of building systems based on IoT and machine learning. In addition to his research and academic pursuits, Iskandar Yahya loves the outdoor, adventure and sports activities. He is an avid researcher in the field of electronics engineering and is always eager to push the boundaries of technology and knowledge.
