   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Rafidah Ahmad is a researcher with extensive experience in metabolomics, natural products, and molecular docking. Her work focuses on the discovery of bioactive compounds from natural sources from plant to microbiology and the elucidation of their biological roles using advanced analytical and computational techniques. She integrates untargeted and targeted metabolomics approaches with in silico molecular docking to identify potential therapeutic agents and explore their mechanisms of action. Actively involved in both academic and industry-driven research, she has contributed to numerous projects involving palm oil, natural product profiling, biomarker discovery, and drug-lead identification. She has also provided consultation services to industry, particularly in metabolomics data analysis, supporting the development of data-driven solutions for quality control, product development, and health-related applications. She is proficient in operating and analysing high-end analytical instruments, including liquid chromatography–time of flight mass spectrometry (LC-TOF-MS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), which are integral to her research workflows. Her expertise bridges analytical chemistry, computational biology, and natural product-based drug discovery, making her a valuable contributor to translational research in health and biotechnology. Currently, she is also engaged in human clinical lipidomic, focusing on the identification of lipid biomarkers for disease diagnostics and personalized healthcare.
