Associate Professor Dr. Rosiah ROHANI is the chemical engineering program coordinator at the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for her bachelor and master degree in Chemical Engineering. She has engaged in several institutions as a researcher including the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) in Takasaki, Japan. She received her PhD (Chemical and Materials Engineering) from The University of Auckland, New Zealand. Her research interest mainly in the area of polymer electrolyte membranes, conducting polymers, ion exchange membranes, pressure filtrations, gas permeations, water & waste water treatment, hydrogen fuel cell and drilling fluids. She is actively involved in teaching & learning activities as well as doing consultation work with the industries. Besides, she is involved in research competitions and she has won several awards namely Silver Awards in FYPPP Competition series 1/2020, Hari Nuklear Malaysia 2019, the 1st International Malaysia-Indonesia-Thailand Symposium on Innovation & Creativity (iMIT SIC 2017), a Bronze Medal in 3rd International Biotechnology Competition & Exhibition (IBCEx 2017) etc. She has also been appointed as the editor and/or reviewer for various indexed and impact journals, conferences and books, as well as prestigious national awards such as MAPIM 2017 and MAPIM 2014. She has involved in organizing numbers of symposiums, conferences, workshops at national and international levels such as became the secretary for SOMChE 2015, treasurer for Sustainable Challenge 2019&2017, Algae Workshop 2014, ABHL-ABBS 2014, RSCE-SOMChE 2008 etc.
