Dr. Mohd Rashan is a seasoned professional with a rich and diverse background in entrepreneurship. He earned his Bachelor`s degree from Osaka University in Japan and an MBA from UPM. Furthering his expertise, he pursued a PhD in entrepreneurship education in France and Spain. Fluent in Japanese and Spanish, Dr. Rashan has also completed several professional certification courses in entrepreneurship from institutions in Malaysia, the United States (SIT), and India. His credentials include certifications as an entrepreneurship trainer by MoHE, MDEC, and KPDNHEP. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Rashan held a strategic planning role at a Japanese multinational company, later moving to the marketing department. During his tenure, he managed sales accounts across industries such as electronics, electrical, factory automation, and automotive, with monthly sales consistently exceeding seven figures in Malaysian Ringgit. His passion for teaching is evident in his volunteer work, where he educates primary school students, the B40 community, indigenous groups like the Orang Asli, particularly the Tok Batin, as well as entrepreneurs in entrepreneurship and strategic planning. Dr. Rashan has also been invited as a guest lecturer by embassies and universities in Spain to conduct fully sponsored entrepreneurship training sessions.
