Dr. Nik Norhazrina binti Nik Mohd Kamil is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is also an international relations coordinator, curator of UKMB Herbarium, an auditor, an advisor of Kelab Rakan Taman UKM, as well as, research fellows at the Bukit Fraser Research Center and Bangi Botanical Garden. She is a professional member of the International Association of Bryologists, the Malaysian Society of Applied Biology, and the Malaysian Nature Society. She obtained her Bachelor of Science with Honours (Biology) in 2008 and Master of Science (Botany) by research in 2011 at UKM. She was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Sciences) from the University of Liège, Belgium in 2016. She teaches biology and botanical science courses. Her research focuses on the diversity, floristic, taxonomy, systematics, molecular, ecological, and application of tropical lower plants, especially bryophytes. Besides, she is the head of the BioD-tectives team using the Biodiversity Module, which is involved with STEM programs and has been invited to give a talk at various schools.
