   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Profesor Madya Ts. ChM. Dr. Darfizzi Derawi merupakan seorang akademik yang berjaya dalam bidang sains kimia di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Beliau memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains (Kepujian) dalam Oleokimia dan Ph.D. dalam bidang Kimia dari UKM, serta pengalaman penyelidikan pasca-doktoral di University of Birmingham. Dr. Darfizzi merupakan seorang Teknologis Profesional (Ts.) yang berdaftar dengan Lembaga Teknologis Malaysia (MBOT) dan seorang ahli kimia berdaftar dengan Institut Kimia Malaysia. Kelayakan profesional beliau juga termasuk sebagai pelatih yang dikecualikan TTT dengan HRD Corp (No. Sijil 14864). Penyelidikan Dr. Darfizzi memberi tumpuan kepada oleokimia, biopelincir, bioenergi, dan bahan api bio maju. Beliau adalah seorang pengamal Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan dan kerap menyampaikan latihan dalam pengurusan bahaya dan risiko, keselamatan bahan kimia, dan persediaan kecemasan. Dihormati dengan anugerah seperti Newton Advanced Fellowship dan Anugerah Teknologi Hijau Terbaik, sumbangan Dr. Darfizzi dalam pengajaran, penyelidikan, dan perundingan sangat dihargai. Selain pencapaian akademik dan penyelidikan, Dr. Darfizzi juga memegang beberapa peranan penting, termasuk Timbalan Pengerusi, Ketua Kluster Teknologi Oleokimia, dan Ketua Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Makmal. Beliau juga aktif terlibat dalam pelbagai projek perundingan dan berkhidmat sebagai Penasihat Utama untuk UKM UNIPEQ Sdn. Bhd., memberi nasihat mengenai latihan dan kursus siri keselamatan.
    Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Darfizzi Derawi is an accomplished academic in chemical sciences at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Oleochemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UKM, with post-doctoral research experience at the University of Birmingham. Dr. Darfizzi is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and a registered chemist with the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry. His professional qualifications also include being a TTT-exempted trainer with HRD Corp (Cert. No. 14864). Dr. Darfizzi’s research focuses on oleochemicals, biolubricants, bioenergy, and advanced biofuels. He is an Occupational Safety and Health practitioner and frequently delivers training in hazard and risk management, chemical safety, and emergency preparedness. Recognized with awards like the Newton Advanced Fellowship and the Best Green Technology Award, Dr. Darfizzi`s contributions to teaching, research, and consultancy are highly esteemed. In addition to his academic and research accomplishments, Dr. Darfizzi has held several significant roles, including Deputy Chairman, Head of Cluster for Oleochemical Technology, and Head of Laboratory Safety and Health. He is also actively involved in various consultancy projects and serves as the Principal Advisor for UKM UNIPEQ Sdn. Bhd., advising on safety series training and courses.
