   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Merupakan salah seorang pensyarah di Jabatan Anatomi, UKM. Beliau memulakan karier dengan memperoleh diploma pembantu perubatan dan kemudian melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat perubatan (MD) di Universiti Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2006. Setelah berapa tahun berkhidmat sebagai pegawai perubatan, beliau kemudiannya menyertai Jabatan Anatomi dan telah menamatkan Sarjana Perubatan Sains (Anatomi, UKM). Mempunyai kecenderungan terhadap kajian neurosains terutama melibatkan gangguan kognitif seperti pada penyakit Alzheimer. Beliau juga mengkaji hubungan kesan pengambilan sebatian kanabinoid terhadap gangguan neurodegeneratif.
    A lecturer in the Department of Anatomy, UKM Medical Centre, Dr Amir started his carrier by obtaining a diploma in medical assistant. After 2 years of experience in the emergency department, he pursued a medical degree (M.D) in University of North Sumatera in 2006. With great interest in teaching and conducting researches, he then joined Anatomy Department after 3 years in clinical service and succesfully completed Master of Medical Science (Anatomy, UKM). He has a great interest in neuroscience study particularly to that involve in cognitive dysfunction seen in Alzheimer`s disease. He also studies the effects of cannabinoids intake on neurodegenerative disorder.
