Biografi/ Biography :
My research focuses on the neuropsychopharmacology of mood disorders. I am interested in changes related to neuropsychological, biochemistry and functional connectivity in mood disorders and how drugs can alter or normalise the abnormalities observed in mood disorders. My research utilises various modalities to study the pathology of mood disorders and biological effects of drugs on various biological aspects in humans. Among the tools used are neuropsychological tasks, proton magnetic spectroscopy and resting-state functional magnetic resonance. I received my Doctor of Philosophy in Psychiatry from the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof Philip Cowen and Dr Beata Godlewska. I was funded by Yayasan Khazanah under the Khazanah - Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Merdeka Scholarship Programme. I am a registered Medical Doctor and did a Master`s in Pharmacology at UKM.
