   Biografi/ Biography :

  • DAbdul Rahman bin Ahmad Badayai kini merupakan Pensyarah Kanan (Psikologi Perkembangan) di Pusat Penyelidikan Psikologi dan Kesejahteraan Manusia, Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Kepakaran beliau ialah dalam masalah dan kelewatan perkembangan kanak-kanak, kanak-kanak berkeperluan khas, kanak-kanak dan belia yang berisiko, dinamik keluarga dan keibubapaan, daya tahan kanak-kanak dan belia, kesejahteraan psikologi dan kesihatan mental pelarian dan SGBV, dan penyelesaian dan pengurusan konflik. Pada masa ini, beliau aktif dalam memberi latihan dalam perkembangan kanak-kanak, mengurus tingkah laku kanak-kanak, kesihatan mental, dan keibubapaan. Beliau juga terlibat secara aktif dalam kerja-kerja bantuan kemanusiaan di bawah Pasukan Sokongan Kesihatan Mental dan Psikososial (MERCY Malaysia) dan pernah terlibat dalam beberapa misi antarabangsa seperti; Gempa bumi di Pidie-Jaya Acheh, Indonesia, Pasukan Bantuan Pelarian di Cox`s Bazaar Bangladesh, latihan PFA di Attapue Loas, latihan PFA di Rakhine Myanmar, Pengurusan tekanan dan PFA di Bangladesh, Misi Banjir di Kelantan dan Johor Malaysia, pencemaran udara ( Sg. Kim Kim) di Johor, gempa bumi di Turkiye dan Syria, talian bantuan COVID-19 di bawah MERCY Malaysia, banjir di Libya (Tripoli dan Benghazi), dan juga mengetuai pasukan untuk kesihatan mental dan perkhidmatan sokongan psikososial untuk wabak COVID-19 di bawah PsiTra Klinik Psikologi dan Konsultasi (PKPK) UKM Bangi. Beliau juga bekerjasama rapat dengan UNHCR Malaysia dalam menyediakan perkhidmatan latihan, psikologi dan kaunseling kepada pelarian dan asylum di Malaysia.
    Abdul Rahman bin Ahmad Badayai is currently a Senior Lecturer (Developmental Psychology) at the Centre of Research in Psychology and Human Well-being, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, The National University of Malaysia. His expertise is in child developmental problems and delays, special needs children, at-risk children and youth, family dynamic and parenting, children and youth resilience, refugees` psychological well-being and mental health and SGBV, and conflict resolutions and management. Currently, he is active in giving training in child development, managing children`s behaviors, mental health, and parenting. He also actively engaged in humanitarian relief work under the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Team (MERCY Malaysia) and has been involved in several international missions such as; Earth-quake in Pidie-Jaya Acheh, Indonesia, Refugees Relief Team in Cox’s Bazaar Bangladesh, PFA training in Attapue Loas, PFA training in Rakhine Myanmar, Stress management and PFA response in Bangladesh, Flood Mission in Kelantan and Johor Malaysia, air pollution (Sg. Kim Kim) in Johor, earthquake in Turkiye and Syria, COVID-19 helpline under MERCY Malaysia, flood in Libya (Tripoli and Benghazi), and also leading a team for mental health and psychosocial support services for COVID-19 pandemic under PsiTra Klinik Psikologi dan Konsultasi (PKPK) UKM Bangi. He is also working closely with UNHCR Malaysia in providing training, psychological, and counseling services to refugees and asylum in Malaysia.
