   Biografi/ Biography :


  • Dr. Mohamad Azuwa Mohamed is a lecturer/researcher at the Department of Chemical Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. His area of expertise lies broadly in preparing innovative and cost-effective solutions in the fields of photocatalysis and membrane technology for energy and sustainable technology. He is also active in writing for scientific publications in high-impact international journals and book chapters of the renowned publisher. To date, despite his short career span as a researcher, he has published more than 40 articles in WoS/Scopus indexed journal. His research publication has received more than 1000 citations, and his current H-index is 23. He involves actively in international journal peer-review practice, as indicated by his recognition as an outstanding reviewer by several highly reputable journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal and Carbohydrates Polymers. Previously, he is a recipient of a prestigious award from the Australian government under the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowship and become a junior visiting researcher at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Also, he is one of the recipients of the JASSO Scholarship 2018/2019 for a one-year research attachment at Osaka University, which focuses on simulation and material modeling based on theoretical quantum engineering. In 2019, he was one of the recipients of the UKM Bitara Awards (Articles in Journal), and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia had nominated him for the 13th National Academic Award (Articles in Science Journal Category). His current scientific interest is mainly focusing on cost-effective semiconductor-based functional materials for renewable energy and environmental science.
