Dr. Lim Kar Keng (atau dikenali sebagai KK) adalah seorang akademik yang bersifat multidisiplin, dengan fokus utama dalam kajian sosiologi sains bahan dan alam sekitar. Beliau juga mempunyai minat yang mendalam dalam pengajian umum/liberal, terutamanya dalam konteks pemahaman interdisipliner yang merangkumi hubungan antara masyarakat, teknologi, agama, dan alam sekitar, khususnya dalam usaha mencapai Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (SDG).
Dr. KK memperoleh Ijazah Sarjana Muda dengan Kepujian dalam Sains Bahan pada tahun 2011, serta Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (PhD) dalam Sains Bahan pada tahun 2017, kedua-duanya dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Kini, beliau berkhidmat sebagai Pensyarah Kanan di Pusat Pengajian Citra Universiti (Citra UKM), yang sebelum ini dikenali sebagai Pusat Pengajian Umum. Selain itu, beliau juga memegang jawatan sebagai Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif (Prestasi & Penarafan) di Pusat Strategi UKM.
Dr. Lim Kar Keng (also known as KK) is a multidisciplinary academic with a primary focus on the sociology of materials science and the environment. He also has a deep interest in liberal/general studies, particularly in the context of interdisciplinary understanding that encompasses the relationships between society, technology, religion, and the environment, especially in efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Dr. KK obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Materials Science in 2011, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science in 2017, both from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Liberal Studies (Citra UKM), formerly known as the Centre for General Studies. In addition, he holds the position of Deputy Executive Director (Performance & Ranking) at the UKM Strategy Centre.
