   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Dr. Nurul Asikin bt Mijan born 31th January 1989, received her PhD from university of Malaya in 2018 and joined University of Putra Malaysia (UPM), as a postdoctoral researcher in Catalysis field. March 2020, she got appointed as lecturer in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Her research and publications focus on catalysis, energy & fuel, oleochemistry and nanotechnology material with special emphasis on biomass conversion technology. Currently, majority of her research findings (>20 articles) have been published in high impact factor journal. Dr. Asikin serve as consultant and a speaker for research writing in several Top QS universities in Malaysia and overseas. She currently serves as an ad-hoc reviewer in several prestigious interdisciplinary journal including: Fuel, Journal of Cleaner production and Bulletin of Chemical Reaction Engineering & Catalyst. Her excellent research experience enables her to assist UM and UPM research group from 2018-2019 and succeeded in obtaining several foundation research grants amounting ~RM500,000. Recipient for prestigious 2018 Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui Postgraduate, four Gold medal and one bronze metal in national and international level competition for energy & fuel research. She has authored four book chapter; Hydrodeoxygenation Vegetable Oil to Green Diesel: Ane Books (2015), Nanorods-An Overview from Synthesis to Emerging Device Applications: IntechOpen (2019), Biofuels: Past, Present, Future: Springer (2020) and Future Aviation Biofuel, Efficiency and Climate Change. All these books focusing on high-achieving good quality of green fuel over acid-base micron and nanosize catalyst.
