Biografi/ Biography :
Ahmad Firdhaus Arham is a multidisciplinary academic in Liberal Studies (Sains Citra) specialising in Sustainability Science, with particular emphasis on the behavioural dimensions of science and technology in society. His work is anchored in two core domains: Public Health Behaviour and Science, Technology and Society (STS).
His research examines public acceptance, risk perception, and behavioural responses towards scientific and technological innovations, particularly in the context of vaccines, dengue interventions, biotechnology, and sustainability-related governance. He integrates statistical modelling and machine learning approaches with Maqasid-based bioethical analysis to explore issues of social legitimacy, public trust, and sustainable policy implementation.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science with Islamic Studies (Genetics and Molecular Biology) and a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Malaya. He completed his PhD in Environmental and Development Studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and has recently completed a second Master’s Degree in Real Estate Investment at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), further strengthening his interdisciplinary expertise in sustainability governance and housing-related policy research.
His scholarship addresses consumer attitudes, public acceptance, and behavioural governance in contemporary science, public health, and sustainability issues. He has published extensively in indexed high-impact journals and led multiple nationally funded research projects. His academic contributions have been recognised through several innovation awards, including Gold Medals at national innovation competitions, and in 2024 he received the Special Award from the Minister of Higher Education (YBM KPT) at the Academic Recognition and Innovation Award (AKRI).
His overarching vision is to advance an integrative Sustainability Science framework that bridges science, ethics, society, and policy.
