   Biografi/ Biography :


  • Dr. Bernard Lee is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He earned his PhD in cancer bioinformatics from Universiti Malaya in 2020. His research interests include big data analytics, biomedical data science, machine learning, and translational bioinformatics, with a focus on cancer systems biology, precision oncology, and drug repurposing and repositioning. Dr. Bernard Lee has been actively involved in projects such as the characterization of genomic alterations in cancer predominant in Asian populations, as well as fond interests in drug sensitivity and drug repurposing research. He is also an experienced educator, teaching courses in Applied Statistics for undergraduate students and Introduction to Data Science and Data Management for Master’s students, utilizing programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, and big data programming tools including Spark, Hive, Pig, and Hadoop.
