Sumber Lestari, Alam Sekitar dan Kehidupan Pintar,
Dr. Norshafidah has served as Senior Lecturer / Research Fellow at the SERI-UKM since 2023. A distinguished scholar in materials science and solar energy, she earned her Combined MSc–Ph.D. in Chemistry and Nanoscience from Ewha Womans University (EWHA), South Korea, in 2020, fully funded under International Exchange Scholarship F3 (IES-F3-Korea) and Brain Korea (BK-21) program.
She later secured grants from the National Research Foundation (NRF-Korea) and the EWHA University-Industry Collaboration Foundation (EUICF-Korea), serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2020 to 2023.
She has published numerous high-impact papers in top-tier (Q1) journals, including work achieving over 25% efficiency in perovskite solar cells. Her research excellence earned awards from Nano Convergence (2016, 2022), Nano Korea (2021), and the MRS Meeting in Boston (2018), along with two Korea IPO patents (2020, 2022) and one MyIPO copyright (2025).
Currently, she leads MoUs between UKM, EWHA & Thursinar Energy (2023–2028) alongside two university grants (GGPM 2023-2025 & TRUKM 2024-2026) and a national grant (FRGS 2024-2027) by MOHE. She also serves as Co-PI for international grant (KGP 2025-2028) in collaboration with George Mason University, Virginia, USA and national grant (SRF 2025-2026) by MOSTI through MIMOS Berhad.
At the institutional level, she was appointed as SERI’s Coordinator for Institute SDGs (2023–2026) and UKM Strategic Communication (2025–2027), and serves as a Committee Member under the UKM–ISN–SDG Goal 7 Initiative (2025–2026).
She co-supervises graduate students from Malaysia, as well as students based in Korea & China, and serves as reviewer for major publishers including Elsevier, Springer Nature, WILEY, and IEEE. She was also certified as a Google Gemini Educator (2025–2028), reflecting her commitment to advancing innovation through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) in advanced materials and renewable energy research.
