My research centered on unravelling the complexities of plant perception towards environmental stimuli, with a specific emphasis on plant signaling events under abiotic stresses. This pursuit mainly involves exploring the roles of signalling molecules and membrane proteins including ion channels, transporters, and receptors, in these signalling events and understanding their implications for plant physiology and development under stress conditions. The focal point of this research extends beyond comprehension, aiming to gain insights into plant perception and tolerance. Such understanding holds significant potential for developing future crops endowed with enhanced stress tolerance, paving the way for a resilient and sustainable agricultural sector.
