Mohd Nor Akmal Khalid ialah pensyarah kanan Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Maklumat dan ahli Pusat Teknologi Kepintaran Buatan (CAIT) di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Beliau menganugerahkan B. Comp. Sc. (Hons), MSc., dan Ph.D. ijazah dari Universiti Sains Malaysia pada 2013, 2015, dan 2018, masing-masing. Beliau sebelum ini bekerja sebagai penolong profesor (atau pensyarah) di School of Information Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Nomi, Jepun, sementara juga berkhidmat sebagai ahli Pusat Penyelidikan Sains Hiburan (2019- -2020), dan ahli Pusat Penyelidikan Antarabangsa untuk Kecerdasan Buatan dan Sains Hiburan (2022--2023). Kepakarannya terletak dalam kecerdasan buatan, permainan, pemodelan, simulasi, analitik data dan pengoptimuman. Bidang pengajiannya merangkumi bidang penyelidikan operasi, reka bentuk permainan teori, pengurusan risiko, dan pengoptimuman proses. Topik minatnya termasuk tetapi tidak terhad kepada, teknik carian pintar dan evolusi, sokongan keputusan dan sistem berasaskan pengetahuan, pemodelan orang ramai & perancangan laluan pemindahan (ERP), teori penghalusan permainan, model motion in mind, ejen AI dalam reka bentuk permainan dan pembangunan, masalah ketidakseimbangan data, dan analisis siri masa.
Mohd Nor Akmal Khalid is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology and a Center for Artificial Intelligence Technology (CAIT) member at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He conferred his B. Comp. Sc. (Hons), MSc., and Ph.D. degrees from the Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2013, 2015, and 2018, respectively. He was previously employed as an assistant professor (or lecturer) at the School of Information Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Nomi, Japan, while also serving as a member of the Research Center for Entertainment Science (2019--2020), and a member of the International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Entertainment Science (2022--2023). His expertise lies in artificial intelligence, games, modeling, simulation, data analytics, and optimization. His field of studies spanned the fields of operational research, theoretical game design, risk management, and process optimization. His topics of interest include but are not limited to, intelligent and evolutionary search techniques, decision-support and knowledge-based systems, crowd modeling & evacuation route planning (ERP), game refinement theory, motion in mind model, AI agent in game design and development, data imbalance problems, and time-series analysis.
