  • Dr. Nadhiratul-Farihin is a distinguished researcher and lecturer in the field of Chemical and Science Department at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). With a passion for pharmaceutical pollutant analysed with electrophoretic and chromatographic instruments, Dr. Nadhiratul-Farihin has dedicated her career to advancing knowledge and solutions in these critical areas. Nadhiratul-Farihin obtained her Ph.D. in Separation Chemistry from Universiti Sains Malaysia (2022) and has since been actively involved in cutting-edge research aimed at addressing environmental challenges, particularly in quantifying pharmaceutical pollutants like 5-fluorouracil, sulfonamides antibiotics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in aqueous samples. Her research focuses on the development and application of advanced microextraction and pre-concentration techniques utilizing capillary electrophoresis. Through her work, she has contributed significantly to the optimization of both offline and online preconcentration methods, employing various univariate and multivariate optimization approaches. Dr. Nadhiratul-Farihin is widely recognized for her expertise and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals. Her research not only advances scientific knowledge but also holds practical implications for water quality management and environmental protection. In addition to her research endeavors, Dr. Nadhiratul-Farihin is committed to nurturing the next generation of scientists. As a lecturer at UKM, she is dedicated to inspiring and guiding students, fostering their passion for environmental science and research. Dr. Nadhiratul-Farihin`s contributions to her field have earned her respect and recognition both nationally and internationally.
