  •    Biografi/ Biography :

  • Roslinda Mohd Nazar adalah Profesor di Jabatan Sains Matematik, Fakulti Sains dan Teknnologi, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Beliau memperoleh Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains (Matematik) daripada University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA dan Ijazah Sarjana Sains (Matematik bagi Model Tak Linear) daripada Heriott-Watt University & University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Seterusnya, beliau telah memperoleh Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (Matematik Gunaan) daripada Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor dalam bidang Aliran Bendalir dan Pemindahan Haba pada Januari 2004. Pada Februari 2005 beliau telah dinaikkan pangkat ke jawatan Pensyarah Kanan dan ke jawatan Profesor Madya pada Ogos 2006. Seterusnya beliau telah dinaikkan pangkat ke jawatan Profesor pada Januari 2012. Beliau adalah salah seorang penerima "Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) 2021" dalam bidang Matematik Gunaan. Beliau adalah yang pertama dan setakat ini, satu-satunya penerima dalam bidang Matematik sejak TRSM pertama kali dilancarkan pada 2012. Minat penyelidikan beliau merangkumi kajian dalam bidang Dinamik Bendalir, Pemindahan Haba dan Pemodelan Matematik. Beliau adalah seorang penyelidik yang aktif dalam penerbitan dan penyelidikan dan telah menerbitkan 4 buah buku penyelidikan oleh Penerbit UKM dan lebih daripada 600 hasil kajian dalam bentuk artikel jurnal, prosiding serta bab dalam buku.
    Roslinda Mohd Nazar is a Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Mathematics) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA and a Master of Science degree (Mathematics of Nonlinear Models) from the Heriot-Watt University and University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Further, she obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Applied Mathematics) from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor in the field of Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer in January 2004. In February 2005 she was promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer and later to the position of Associate Professor in August 2006. She was then promoted to the post of Professor in January 2012. She is one of the recipients for the 2021 Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) in the field of Applied Mathematics. She is the first and so far, the only recipient in Mathematics since TRSM was first launched in 2012. Her research interests include studies in the fields of Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer and Mathematical Modelling. She is active in research and publications and to date, she has published 4 research books by UKM Publisher and more than 600 research papers in the form of journal articles, proceedings, and book chapters.
