Biografi/ Biography :
Azuraliza Abu Bakar is a Professor in Data Mining at Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia since 2011. She received her PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2002). Her main research areas are Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence specifically in Rough Set Theory, Feature Selection Algorithms, Nature Inspired Computing and Sentiment Analysis. She is the head of 13 research projects (including 3 in progress) and member of 42 research projects. Currently she is the head of LAB40: Living Analytics for Enhancing The B40’s Wellbeing Program. LAB40 is a program that combines data analytics research in the areas of the people well-being including poverty, socio-economics, health security, education, and gender for intelligent decision-making that enhances the well-being of the people, especially the B40s. She has supervised 24 completed and 8 in progress PhDs and more than 50 MSc and BSc students. She has published 109 research journals, 7 book chapters and more than 90 research proceedings. Her main publication fingerprints are data mining, feature extraction, rough set theory, association rules, classifier, particle swarms optimization, data stream mining, and Artificial immune systems. In UKM she teaches Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, and Fundamental of Data Science. She has served as Panel of Evaluation for development of Data Science Program in several Malaysia University UTEM, UiTM, and UTM, and Intelligent System Program in UUM. She is a member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
