  •    Biografi/ Biography :

  • Mohd Nizam Ab Rahman is majoring in Quality Industry and Operations Management particularly Lean Manufacturing, SCM and Quality Assurance. He received his PhD in manufacturing engineering and operations management from the University of Nottingham. He has published over 300 research papers in the fields of quality tools and techniques, Lean manufacturing, SCM, Sustainability and SMEs that bring up to nearly 200 Scopus/ISI listed journals (Scopus Citation 2507, Scopus H-index 27, WoS H-index 19) and also include the areas of technology and project management, mainly for research & teaching activities. Most of his works are related to the development of Malaysian SMEs. He has successfully supervised 25 PhD students in his fields with 4 of them, GOT. Nizam teaches the courses such as project management, quality assurance, PPC, risk and financial analysis and SCM. Nizam also is a competent ISO Lead Auditor, CAPM under PMI USA, CQRM and Lead assessor for AUN-QA. He has some invitations as invited and keynote speaker, judge and panel from various institutions particularly relate to his expertise. SIRIM Malaysia has invited him for the development of 8 SIRIM Industry Standards i.e TQM, Lean Practices (Part I and II), Green Supply Chain, TPM, IR4.0, Design for Environment, DfE and Sustainable Manufacturing. He has represented the MOT Malaysia in presenting a Country Report about Green Logistics Best Practices in the 13th ASEAN-Japan Expert Meeting. He formerly served as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Risk and Occupational Safety Health (2021-2024) and the Centre for Quality Assurance (2015-2020) at UKM.
