Biografi/ Biography :
Dr. Wan Syafira obtained her PhD at the University of Bristol, UK in 2012. Her doctoral research has focused on investigating auditory dysfunction in normally hearing tinnitus patients. Currently, she teaches at the Audiology Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) where she obtained her Bachelor in Audiology in 2005. Her research and clinical interests include management of tinnitus, age-related hearing loss, auditory cognition, noise-induced hearing loss, and hearing health promotions. She participates actively in establishing and managing the Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Clinic at Klinik Audiologi UKM. She is also a member at the Center for Healthy Ageing and Wellness, UKM, where she is responsible for offering hearing related education and rehabilitation for older adults.
