Dr Aizan Sofia Amin is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Research in Psychology and Human Well-being, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia). She holds a PhD in Disability Studies from the University of Glasgow, UK. Currently, she is a registered counsellor with the Malaysian Board of Counselors. She is involved in teaching and learning for social work and counselling psychology programs at UKM. She is also a member of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities for the 2017-2018 sessions, appointed by the Ministry of Family and Community Development Malaysia. Her research interests are in Disability Studies, Social Work, and Counselling Psychology.
