Biografi/ Biography :
He was born in Kampung Selarong, Pengkalan Hulu, Perak and grew up there. He is the first son of Md Ariffin bin Abdul Manaf and Fatimah bt Waai. He is also a husband to Zubaidah binti Biden and a father to Musa Hanbali and Adha Mateen.
His early studies began at Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Bekuai and later at Sekolah Menengah Agama Izzuddin Shah, Ipoh, Perak. He then was offered to pursue foundation study at University of Malaya, Nilam Puri for two years. He completed his bachelor’s degree (2012), master’s degree (2015), and Ph.D (2019) at the Department of al-Quran and Hadith, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya between 2009-2019.
He is currently Senior Lecturer at the Research Centre for Quran and Sunnah, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. He builds up his expertise in Hadith wa ‘Ulumuhu (especially Thematic hadith, Syarh al-Hadith, Istidlal al-Hadith), and Hadith Analysis at the Research Centre for Quran and Sunnah, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. In addition, his research tendency covers the field of Islamic Consumerism (Halal and Food Safety) & Islamic Studies, ranging from theory, current issues to implementation.
He has written more than 200 academic publications in total as of present. He is also actively involved in writing articles journal, book chapters, newspapers articles and academic presentations in national as well as international seminars. He has produced writings of as many as 11 books, 44 chapters in books, 89 journal articles and a number of studies in the form of presented paper, proceeding, module and so on.
All these writings cover areas of Thematic hadith, Biography of Muhaddithin and their books, Istidlal al-Hadith, Hadith Contemporary Issues, Islamic medicine & Islamic Consumerism (Halal and Food Safety). As a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, he performed his duties by conducting lectures, tutorials and research related to Hadith & Ulum al-Hadith.
