Since becoming an academic, Dr Lokhman has made it a point of getting continuous support in the form of research grants at the university level and national level to enhance his research works and teaching activities in the field of management, supply chain, leadership and ethics, transportation as well as organizations design. Dr Lokhman found that combining research activities and works with lecturing duties are a very rewarding experience, getting extremely positive feedback from the students and the industry. In addition to that, his role as the Director of Yunus Center of Social Business of the university, have given him a lot of opportunities to work with the industries related to the field of social entrepreneurship.
His PhD titled “Impact of Firm Embeddedness in network on Relational Capital Outcomes” was awarded in 2014 at Royal Melbourne Institute (Victoria, Australia). His PhD had a strong focus on the issues of network management and the complexity of managing networks among businesses. The study aimed to identify the role of network positions upon firm’s relational capital outcomes. Findings indicated that firms’ relational capital outcomes are greatly influence by the firms’ structural positions in a complex supply network structure. His Master Degree was awarded by University of New South Wales Australia, through a scholarship program that he obtained from the government of Australia. His bachelor degree is from the Michigan States University, USA, with a major in Marketing.
