   Biografi/ Biography :


  • Professor Dr. Sahilah Abd. Mutalib, is a Lecturer, Department of Food Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) (The National University of Malaysia) From 2007 Until Now. Prior, she served as a Research Officer, at the Strategic and Natural Resources Research Centre, Malaysia Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), Serdang, Selangor (2000 -2006) and former lecture at Institute of Bioscience, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur (2006-2007). Her expertise is in the fields of Food Microbiology. Since Food Microbiology is cross discipline of Food, microbes and genetics her research revolves around Food Microbiology, food quality & safety, and genetics. Her other research interest is Halal Science. She is a registered Halal trainer in Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), Committee members of Halal Certification Malaysia, Committee members of Malaysian Standard (MS1500:2019) Halal Food, Committee members of Halal Methods and Malaysian Halal Analysis Centre (MyHAC). Committee members of The Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) Working Group on Halal food for Organisation for Islamic Countries (OIC).
